Imsil-gun Promotes Okjeongho Dullegil Trail Activation... Infrastructure Maintenance Work Underway
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 14th that it will promote infrastructure maintenance work to revitalize the Okjeongho Dullegil.
The first step to revitalizing Okjeongho Dullegil is to unify the name as ‘Okjeongho Mulangaegil’ by integrating the already established Okjeongho Mulangaegil, Masilgil, and Dullegil sections totaling 50.6 km, along with the currently under-construction Mulmunhwa Dullegil trail.
The plan is to set themes for each section, divide the courses, and manage and maintain them systematically so that visitors can easily remember and find the trails.
Additionally, to provide systematic trail guidance, the replacement of outdated and damaged directional signs and information boards will be carried out.
Starting from the 17th, mowing work will be conducted along the entire sections of Mulangaegil (12 km) and Masilgil (24 km), along with weeding in the flower planting areas, to provide a more pleasant environment for visitors to the Dullegil.
Safety fences will be installed in hazardous sections as part of repair work to ensure the safety management of the Dullegil.
The county plans to establish Okjeongho as a representative premium tourist destination through environmental maintenance of the Okjeongho Dullegil.
To attract many tourists nationwide, promotional activities will be carried out in parallel, including the production of integrated guides and leaflets to further publicize the scenic Okjeongho.
The Okjeongho Dullegil, consisting of Mulangaegil and Masilgil, is included in the Jeonbuk 1000-ri Trail along with the Seomjingang Trail in Deokchi-myeon.
The Jeonbuk 1000-ri Trail is selected by carefully choosing paths with beautiful scenery, historical value, and stories across 14 cities and counties in the province.
