Yeongam Fire Station, Special Guard Duty for Buddha's Birthday Observance
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Yeongam Fire Station in Jeonnam (Chief Im Dong-hyun) announced on the 14th that it will begin special alert duty for all staff from the 18th to the 20th in celebration of Buddha's Birthday.
Although Buddha's Birthday celebration events have been scaled down due to the impact of COVID-19, special alert duty will be carried out to prepare for safety accidents as the number of visitors to temples is higher than usual and the recent dry climate increases the risk of fire.
To this end, 665 personnel including firefighters and volunteer firefighters, along with 29 pieces of equipment, will be mobilized to conduct on-site safety inspections and mobile patrols, establishing a rapid on-site response system and preparing for emergency response.
