Shinbo Signs 'Industry-Academic Cooperation Agreement' with Jeju National University to Support Local Startups
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) is signing a business agreement with Jeju National University to support promising startup companies.
On the 12th, KODIT announced that it will sign an 'Industry-Academic Cooperation Agreement for Discovering and Nurturing Startup Companies' with Jeju National University. The agreement was established to discover and nurture local startup companies with excellent ideas and technological capabilities through mutual cooperation.
According to the agreement, KODIT will provide financial and non-financial support to companies within five years of establishment recommended by Jeju National University. The support targets include startup companies founded by Jeju National University professors, researchers, and students, companies invested in by the university's technology holding company, and companies residing in the startup incubation center. Guarantee and investment consulting services will also be provided.
Additionally, joint efforts will be made to revitalize startups by hosting startup counseling sessions and demo days. Mutual support for professional personnel exchange and talent development will also be promoted.
