Suncheon Songnim Distribution Practices Neighborly Love by Donating Korean Beef and Beef Bone Soup
Giving Back to Society Through Citizen Donations and Sharing
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 11th that Songlim Distribution (CEO Hwang Ju-seong) donated 1.7 million KRW worth of Korean beef and beef bones totaling 1,250kg yesterday to practice social contribution.
The donated items on this day include 150kg of Korean beef bulgogi, 100kg of soup meat, and 1,000kg of bones and by-products, which will be supplied to four free meal centers used by low-income elderly at risk of food insecurity, including the Suncheon Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
CEO Hwang said, “Profits have been generated through livestock product processing in Suncheon, and I wanted to give back to the citizens through sharing, so I decided to donate.”
Suncheon Mayor Heo Seok said, “Despite the difficult economic conditions caused by COVID-19, we are grateful for the warm hands of love for neighbors, and we will ensure that this warm heart is well delivered to the citizens,” adding, “We will do our best to make Suncheon a happy city for its citizens through such sharing.”
