In particular, Jeongmin had vowed to his late grandmother, "I will strive to become a person who can have a positive influence on others," which adds to the poignancy.
Jeongmin's father, Son Hyun (50), shared on his blog early on the 11th, "Jeongmin wrote the following on March 13, the day his grandmother passed away," and disclosed KakaoTalk messages sent by Jeongmin during his lifetime.
In the message, Jeongmin said, "Grandma, I am so sorry for crying and going home the last time I saw you. I am also sorry for not being able to stay with you until the end, and sorry for not being able to see you off in the morning."

If I had known it would be like this, I would have asked about grandma's old stories and called more often. Thank you for always loving me, and please don't be in pain there and live happily."
Jeongmin also said, "From now on, I will listen well to dad and try to become a person who can have a good influence on others. Please watch over me," and "Let's definitely meet later. I will not forget and will come find you. I miss you so much and really, really love you."
Regarding this, Son Hyun expressed his grief, saying, "He listened well to me and could have met her much later, so why did he go so soon?"

He said, "While listening to the opposing lawyer's story, I suddenly felt my blood run cold. My heart was pounding, and the thought that everything was in vain flashed through my mind," expressing his frustration, "There are so many suspicions, yet they say they cannot connect them." He added, "Anyway, I have to stay calm."
Earlier, on the 24th of last month around 10:30 p.m., Son left home and was drinking with his friend A at the grassy area of Hangang Park after ordering delivery food. He went missing during this time. Then, six days later on the 30th at around 3:50 p.m., his body was found near the Hangang Park water taxi dock by a private rescuer.
The police have secured and are analyzing 54 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and black boxes from 133 vehicles near the Hangang Park area where Jeongmin went missing.
