SUV Collision in Sangam-dong, Seoul... Motorcycle Rider Dies
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] At around 10:28 a.m. on the 10th, a collision occurred between a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a motorcycle at the intersection in front of Sangam Elementary School in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, resulting in the death of the motorcycle rider.
According to the police, the Seoul Mapo Police Station has booked and is investigating A (32), the SUV driver, on charges of causing death by negligence under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling. A is known to be a former announcer of a broadcasting company.
The police believe the accident occurred when A’s vehicle, proceeding straight through a yellow light, collided with the motorcycle that entered the intersection on a red light.
