Gwangju Seo-gu 'AI Competency Test' Free Trial Program Operation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) is attracting attention with a special program operated to support employment for local youth.
Seo-gu announced on the 3rd that it will operate an AI (Artificial Intelligence) competency test experience program at the Job Cafe Cheongchun Balsan Workshop.
Recently, with the spread of COVID-19 and the emergence of fair and objective recruitment methods, interviews are being conducted through AI competency tests in various recruitment fields such as public institutions and large corporations.
However, the unfamiliar interview system, different from traditional face-to-face interviews, is increasingly burdening job seekers.
Seo-gu quickly recognized this situation and introduced the 'AI Competency Test Support Program.' The program is provided free of charge to job-seeking youth in the district.
In addition, regular special lectures will be held to enhance job seekers' understanding of AI competency tests.
The newly introduced 'AI Competency Test Program' by Seo-gu consists of questions actually used in recruitment markets.
It is expected to greatly help increase practical sense and reduce the burden of interviews for job seekers.
Also, through matching with professional career counselors, personalized employment consulting will be provided based on AI competency test results to increase youth employment rates.
Meanwhile, last year, Seo-gu created a VR (Virtual Reality) interview experience center, the first among local governments in Gwangju and Jeonnam, to support non-face-to-face employment due to COVID-19, receiving great responses from job seekers. It is being expanded and operated this year as well.
A Seo-gu official said, “We will do our best to strengthen employment capabilities by providing various employment services to youth in line with changing recruitment trends,” and added, “We hope many young people seeking jobs will participate.”
