Yangsan-si, Social Distancing Raised to Level 2... Ban on Gatherings at 5 Types of Entertainment Facilities and Singing Practice Rooms
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 3rd that it will raise the social distancing level for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) to Level 2 starting from midnight on the 4th.
Mayor Kim Il-kwon held an emergency briefing in the morning to explain the social distancing measures related to COVID-19 in Yangsan City.
According to the upgrade to social distancing Level 2, from 6:00 AM on the 4th to 6:00 AM on the 11th, a gathering ban order has been issued for five types of entertainment facilities (entertainment bars, danran bars, emotional bars, colateks, hunting pochas) and singing practice rooms.
Due to the explosive increase in confirmed cases recently, there is a strong correlation with entertainment facilities, and to prepare for the balloon effect caused by the gathering ban on entertainment facilities in the neighboring Busan City, singing practice rooms have also been included in the gathering ban targets.
From midnight on the 6th, the municipal library and municipal museum will also be temporarily closed.

This measure was taken because the recent number of confirmed cases in the province has reached an average of 40 per day, indicating a very serious situation, especially since four cities/counties?Yangsan, Jinju, Gimhae, and Sacheon?account for more than 80% of the total confirmed cases.
