Chungnam Provides Farming Vouchers to Floriculture Farms Facing Sales Decline
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province announced on the 3rd that it will provide vouchers worth 1 million KRW to farms in five sectors?floriculture, winter watermelon, eco-friendly agricultural products supplied to school meals, horse breeding farms (Gyeongju horses), and rural experience and recreation villages?whose sales decreased last year compared to 2019.
Farmers and villages eligible for the support can receive vouchers after submitting supporting documents such as shipment performance certificates and bank transaction statements.
The application period, originally until the 30th of last month, has been extended by two weeks to the 14th of this month.
Additionally, the province explained that farmers who have difficulty preparing the supporting documents can first submit the application form within the deadline and then supplement the item-specific supporting documents by the 24th.
Farmers wishing to apply can visit the farm support voucher website or the administrative welfare centers in towns and townships within the province to submit their applications. When visiting, applicants must bring their personal ID, submission documents, and mobile phone.
Online applications are also available. When applying online, applicants must go through identity verification, save the required documents as photo files according to the instructions posted on the website, and then attach them.
However, farms that have received voucher benefits cannot receive overlapping support from programs such as the ‘Emergency Employment Stability Subsidy (Ministry of Employment and Labor)’, ‘Small Business Owner Support Fund Plus (Ministry of SMEs and Startups)’, ‘Temporary Small-scale Fishery Management Support Voucher (Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries)’, or ‘Temporary Small-scale Forestry Management Support Voucher (Korea Forest Service)’.
