Corruption Investigation Office Reopens Spokesperson Recruitment... Kim Jin-wook Expects Many Talented Applicants
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (HCIA) has decided to reissue the public recruitment announcement for the spokesperson position.
The HCIA stated, "We will announce the public recruitment for the spokesperson position tomorrow (the 3rd)."
The spokesperson is a manager-level position responsible for publicity tasks such as case press releases and online communication for the HCIA. Candidates eligible to apply include those with practical experience in the media for a certain period, lawyers who have obtained their license and have more than four years of practical experience related to trials and investigations.
Previously, right after its launch in February, the HCIA conducted a recruitment for the spokesperson position and received as many as 25 applicants, but judged that there was no suitable candidate and did not select anyone.
Instead, Moon Sang-ho, a budget expert seconded from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, has been concurrently serving as the spokesperson.
Considering this, the HCIA announced that not only journalists with a lawyer's license but also reporters with experience in the social affairs department will be given preference. Additionally, more than two weeks will be allowed from the announcement to the application submission deadline.
