North Korea Expresses Displeasure Over Leaflet Drops... Calls Defectors "Human Trash"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] North Korea indirectly expressed displeasure by reporting on South Korea's reaction to the leaflet distribution by the defector group Freedom North Korea Movement Alliance.
North Korea's propaganda outlet Echo of Unification reported on the 1st, citing South Korean media in an article titled "The leaflet distribution game that will cause tension in the situation toward the North," stating, "There are concerns that the leaflet distribution toward the North could negatively affect the already chilly inter-Korean relations."
It continued, "Other media also reported on the evaluations of situation experts who say that the situation will become tense again due to the leaflet distribution, which was announced amid deteriorated inter-Korean relations, and on the movements of various social groups strongly condemning the leaflet distribution, shouting 'If war breaks out, we are finished,' and 'For us, it means the destruction of life.'"
