Cho Kyung-sik, 2nd Vice Minister of Science and ICT, Inspects COVID-19 Quarantine Site at Seodaemun Post Office
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The Ministry of Science and ICT announced that Cho Kyung-sik, the 2nd Vice Minister, visited Seodaemun Post Office on the 30th to inspect the quarantine site in preparation for COVID-19 infection and to encourage the staff.
Seodaemun Post Office employs about 280 staff members, including 121 delivery workers, handling an average daily mail volume of approximately 32,000 items (typically 19,000 letters and 13,000 parcels), with about 380 visitors daily.
The Seodaemun Post Office of the Korea Post has designated its own quarantine manager amid concerns over the resurgence of the COVID-19 virus, thoroughly checking compliance with quarantine rules such as wearing masks during work and operating an online integrated situation room.
Vice Minister Cho Kyung-sik, during his visit to Seodaemun Post Office, requested active participation in government policies including adherence to quarantine guidelines and timely supply of preventive materials, and urged staff to be thorough in hygiene management.
