The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced on the 30th at midnight that 661 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed domestically, bringing the total to 122,007.
Among them, 642 cases were domestic transmissions, and 19 were imported cases.
By region, Seoul reported 222 cases, Gyeonggi 148, and Incheon 14, totaling 384 cases in the metropolitan area.
In non-metropolitan areas, Ulsan reported 61 cases, Gyeongnam 37, Busan 31, Daejeon 30, Gyeongbuk 28, Jeonbuk 21, Daegu 13, Chungnam 12, Chungbuk 11, Jeonnam 5, Gwangju and Gangwon 4 each, and Sejong 1. No cases were reported in Jeju.
Among the 19 imported cases, 5 were detected during quarantine, and the remaining 14 were confirmed in the local community. Nine were Korean nationals, and 10 were foreigners.
The number of critically ill patients is 164, and the death toll increased by 3 from the previous day, totaling 1,828. The number of newly released from isolation increased by 635, bringing the total to 111,422.
The number of suspected cases tested was 42,513, and 31,980 tests were conducted at temporary screening clinics set up in the metropolitan area, with 87 confirmed positive. In non-metropolitan temporary screening clinics, 6,334 tests were conducted, making the total number of tests 80,827.
According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team, as of midnight on the same day, 241,967 people received new COVID-19 vaccinations, bringing the total number of first-dose recipients to 3,056,004. The number of new second-dose recipients was 30,010, with a total of 198,734 people having completed the second dose.
1,640,570 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and 1,415,434 doses of the Pfizer vaccine have been administered.
The number of reported suspected adverse reactions after COVID-19 vaccination increased by 499 cases from the previous day, totaling 15,499 cases.
Five suspected anaphylaxis cases and three suspected severe cases were newly reported, with no deaths reported.
