Gangbuk-gu Holds Resident Briefing Session on 'Urban Public Housing Complex Project'
If Consent from at Least Two-Thirds of Landowners (Half by Area) Is Secured, Final Designation... High-Density Development in 11 Zones within the Area (7 Transit-Oriented, 4 Low-Rise Residential)
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) held a resident briefing session for the 'Urban Multi-family Housing Complex Project' on the 29th at the Gangbuk Culture and Arts Center Grand Performance Hall.
This was the first resident briefing session held in Gangbuk-gu, which was selected as a candidate site for the second phase of the public-led development pilot project.
Earlier this month, the government designated the second candidate sites for the urban public housing complex project as a follow-up measure to the '3080+ Metropolitan Housing Supply Plan.' In Gangbuk-gu, 11 zones including station areas and low-rise residential areas were selected. The total area is approximately 292,000 square meters, capable of accommodating about 8,200 households.
The station areas include seven locations: east and west sides of Mia Station, east and north sides of Mia Sageori Station, near Samyang Sageori Station, and two zones on the south side of Suyu Station. The low-rise residential areas include four zones: one in Suyu 2-dong, two in Songjung-dong, and one in Suyu 1-dong.
The briefing session proceeded in the order of project introduction, explanation of the urban public housing complex project system, and a Q&A session with residents. Another briefing session will be held once more in May for each project zone. If more than 10% of landowners and others agree, the site becomes a planned district, and if two-thirds or more consent (with half the area standard), the district designation is confirmed.
