15,000 Unsold Houses Nationwide in March... 60% Decrease in One Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 29th that as of March, the total number of unsold houses nationwide was 15,270 units, a 3.3% (516 units) decrease compared to 15,786 units in the previous month. Compared to one year ago, it has decreased by 60.13%.
The nationwide unsold houses have been decreasing from 38,304 units in March last year to 28,883 units in July, 23,620 units in November, and 15,270 units in March this year.
In the metropolitan area, there were 1,520 units, down 4.8% (77 units) from 1,597 units the previous month, and in the provinces, there were 13,750 units, down 3.1% (439 units) from 14,189 units the previous month.
Unsold houses after completion were counted at 9,965 units, a 7.6% (814 units) decrease compared to 10,779 units the previous month.
By size, among the total unsold units, medium to large units over 85㎡ were 560 units, down 4.1% (24 units) from 584 units the previous month, and units 85㎡ or smaller were 14,710 units, down 3.2% (492 units) from 15,202 units the previous month.
