According to the Korea Sleep Industry Association on the 29th, the sleep market size, which was around 480 billion KRW in 2011, grew to 2 trillion KRW in 2015 and about 3 trillion KRW in 2019. After COVID-19, reduced outdoor activities and weakened economic activities have increased stress levels, raising interest in "quality sleep."
Casamia is actively establishing new growth strategies and fostering the sleep category in line with market changes and demand. Last year, it significantly expanded its lineup of functional mattresses and premium bedding products. It also diversified its product portfolio by sourcing and selling popular sleep specialty brand products.
This year, Casamia is accelerating the strengthening of its product competitiveness by importing overseas premium beds and launching its own mattress specialty brand.
First, next month, it will introduce bedroom furniture from the Swedish sleep design brand 'Carpe Diem Bed.' Casamia will be the first in Asia to import and sell Carpe Diem Bed, which had only been introduced in major European countries such as the UK, France, and Denmark.
Customers can find various sleep products, including the representative 'Continental Bed' and 'Frame Bed,' as well as fabric bedding and silk robes, at Casamia's main flagship stores and department store outlets.
Casamia's mattress specialty brand 'MATERASSO' will also be relaunched. It features 30% more springs than typical mattresses on the market to enhance pressure distribution. The proprietary 'C-Pocket Spring System,' which minimizes the discomfort of hardness differences, maximizes comfort.
