[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun District, participated online on the 28th in the inaugural general meeting of the Basic Income Local Government Council held at KINTEX in Ilsan.
On this day, 53 out of 75 member local governments who share the necessity of basic income and the same intention participated in the general meeting.
Mayor Moon, representing all member local governments, was the first to read the 'Founding Vision Declaration' expressing the will to institutionalize the basic income policy.
Through this, Mayor Moon declared that "member local governments will work together to build national consensus and nationwide adoption of the basic income policy."
