30s Male Who Distributed 'President Criticism Leaflets' Sent to Prosecutors for Defamation Charges
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 28th that they have sent a man in his 30s, Mr. A, who distributed leaflets criticizing President Moon Jae-in, to the prosecution without detention on charges including defamation.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of scattering bundles of leaflets containing criticism and slander of President Moon and others near the fountain at the National Assembly building in Yeouido in July 2019.
A police official stated, "We cannot disclose who the complainant in this case is."
