Jeju Coast Guard Aviation Unit Officer Na Chang-hyun Selected as 'Light and Salt'

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Regional Coast Guard Agency (Chief Oh Sang-kwon) announced on the 28th that Lieutenant Na Chang-hyun, belonging to the Jeju Coast Guard Aviation Unit, was selected for the "Light and Salt" program organized by the Korea Coast Guard.
"Light and Salt" is a system operated by the Korea Coast Guard that selects public officials quarterly who have achieved outstanding results with passion and dedication for the development of coast guard duties or who quietly realize the value of the coast guard in the field.
Lieutenant Na Chang-hyun was appointed as a career coast guard lieutenant through recruitment in November 2014 and has served as a rotary-wing pilot, taking the lead in protecting the precious lives and property of the people by responding to numerous ship accidents and emergency patient transports occurring in the waters around Jeju.
In particular, he was recognized for his merit in rescuing all five crew members of a stranded ship near Seongsan Ilchulbong, Seogwipo, on January 31, and was selected for this "Light and Salt" award.
