On the 28th, Cho Su-jin, a member of the People Power Party who served as the spokesperson for Oh Se-hoon's campaign, revealed on her Facebook a conversation with Mayor Oh the previous day, which was a kind of '4.7 Seoul Mayor By-election Campaign Spokesperson Farewell Meeting.'
Cho began by telling Mayor Oh, "Throughout the election, Mr. Kim Eo-jun's program troubled you by mentioning places like the ecological soup restaurant and Ferragamo, and issues such as bias and appearance fees have been controversial day after day."
However, she introduced Mayor Oh's response, saying, "I think it is not appropriate for the Seoul mayor to engage in disputes with a mere host."
Regarding this, Mayor Oh said, "I do not receive any reports about Traffic Broadcasting at all," adding, "Because of that, it seems that the traffic broadcasting station is very curious."
He continued, "If the broadcast loses neutrality and objectivity, shouldn't the responsibility lie with the broadcasting company?" and evaluated, "Many citizens must have considered the current status, problems, and future direction of our public broadcasting and traffic broadcasting during this Seoul mayoral election."
He also expressed his thoughts, saying, "I think public broadcasting and other broadcasts should be ashamed that their reporting did not influence the election at all and instead became the subject of criticism."
Earlier, in a media interview last February, when asked about the claim that "Seoul City should not provide financial support to TBS, which is embroiled in political bias controversy," Mayor Oh responded, "If I become mayor, I will correct what needs to be corrected immediately."
He added, "It could take the form of not providing budget support to TBS. Isn't creating an environment where they can report neutrally and objectively as a media outlet the most principled response?"
