Various Programs Including 'Advertising and Life'... Saturday Classes Also Available... Registration Open on Gangbuk-gu Neulbaeumteo Website
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangbuk-gu (District Mayor Park Kyum-soo) is expanding lifelong learning opportunities for residents by opening the "Everyone's School Gangbuk Learning Center" on the 4th floor of the Gangbuk Cultural Information Library and will operate various programs starting in May.
From May 14 to July 2, the course "Advertising and Life - Understanding Advertising Theory and Production," held every Friday, and from May 27 to July 15, the "Korean History Proficiency Test Preparation Class," held every Thursday, are designed to improve residents' work skills and certification levels.
The district has also scheduled Saturday classes for residents who cannot attend weekday classes due to work. Three courses, "Vietnamese from Today," "Now I’m a YouTuber," and "Smartphone Camera Intensive Course," will be offered from May 8 to July 24.
Additionally, the district plans to offer three specialized programs free of charge from May to July: "Are You Eating Well?", "Lifelong Learning Instructor Training Course," and "Experiential Learning Leader Training Course." "Are You Eating Well?" is a class linking dietary management and urban agriculture. Instructors Nam Yoon-mi and Noh Jeong-rye participate to help learners lead a healthy life.
The "Lifelong Learning Instructor Training Course" is designed to strengthen the capabilities of residents who are currently instructors or aspire to become instructors. Professor Kwon Jin-ha of Soongsil University delivers lectures with his unique humor, teaching how to improve content delivery skills such as lesson plan writing and lecture formation techniques.
The "Experiential Learning Leader Training Course," which educates leaders who guide experiential learning at museums, exhibitions, and more, will also be conducted. Instructor Kim Mi-kyung will teach not only theory but also nearby experiential learning, as well as methods for creating teaching materials and educational tools in detail.
The application periods are as follows: ▲ "Advertising and Life" and "Korean History Proficiency Test Preparation Class" from April 27 to May 7 ▲ Saturday classes ("Vietnamese from Today," "Now I’m a YouTuber," "Smartphone Camera Intensive Course") from April 20 to May 3 ▲ First half specialized programs ("Are You Eating Well?", "Lifelong Learning Instructor Training Course," "Experiential Learning Leader Training Course") from April 26 to May 7.
Those wishing to enroll can check the class dates, times, and fees on the Gangbuk-gu Neulbaeumteo website and then apply. For related inquiries, contact Everyone's School Gangbuk Learning Center by phone.
To meet learners' needs, the district will strictly follow COVID-19 prevention guidelines instead of conducting face-to-face education. The maximum number of participants for all courses is limited to 9, and if social distancing guidelines are strengthened, classes will switch to a non-face-to-face format.
