[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] In China, a wild tiger descended into a village, causing chaos as it bit a resident and damaged a vehicle's window.
According to local Chinese media on the 23rd (local time), around 7 a.m., a 2-meter-long Siberian tiger appeared in a village in Misan, Heilongjiang Province, turning the village into chaos. The tiger charged at a car, and the startled driver quickly changed direction and fled. Although there were no casualties in the process, the vehicle's window was severely damaged.
Later, the tiger roaming the village attacked a resident, who was taken to the hospital for treatment, the media reported.
Local police urged, "Be sure to close windows and doors. If you have family or friends working in the fields, immediately inform them of the tiger's appearance," and some Chinese media even broadcast the scene live.
The capture operation was delayed while waiting for the arrival of a tranquilizer gun, and it is reported that the tiger was tranquilized and captured around 9 p.m. that day. It was also reported that drones were deployed to monitor the tiger's movements.
