Dobong-gu 'Forest Healing with Sup' Experience at Musugol Forest Healing Center Program
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dobong-gu (Mayor Lee Dong-jin) will operate a healing program until November to protect the mental health of Dream Start children who have been unable to engage in outdoor activities due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This program links popular themes among children from Dobong-gu’s forest programs and offers two programs: ‘Ttukttakttuk Woodworking Class’ and ‘Forest Healing with the Woods.’
‘Ttukttakttuk Woodworking Class’ is a non-face-to-face kit provided by the Dobong-gu Wood Culture Experience Center, allowing children to easily create wooden crafts at home through video instructions. Furthermore, the district is considering allowing children to visit the Wood Culture Experience Center directly through the ‘Dream Summer School’ as social distancing measures are eased.
‘Forest Healing with the Woods’ is a program operated at the Forest Healing Centers located in Choan Mountain and Musugol, conducted with one family per session in accordance with social distancing guidelines. It provides time for natural interaction and family participation to build stronger bonds.
Meanwhile, Dobong-gu supports the healthy growth of children without care gaps despite COVID-19 by conducting a full survey of vulnerable children and providing various small-group programs such as ▲ Innovative Play Sports ▲ Online Science Classes ▲ 1:1 Learning Mentoring ▲ ‘Uriduri’ Social Skills Enhancement Psychological Therapy, offering tailored welfare services to children under case management.
