One New Positive Case Related to Existing Confirmed Patients in Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] One additional COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to Gwangju City on the 20th, as of 6 PM, one person was confirmed positive.
Following the regular COVID-19 briefing by the quarantine authorities at 2 PM, which confirmed 8 cases, one more case was added, bringing the total number of new confirmed cases to 9 as of now.
Registered as Gwangju case number 2308, the individual resides in Nam-gu and is a contact of Gwangju case number 2300, who was confirmed positive earlier the same day. The infection route of case 2300 has not yet been identified.
Meanwhile, the cumulative number of COVID-19 tests conducted in the Gwangju area is approaching one million.
So far, 929,355 people have been tested, with 2,308 positive cases, 921,318 negative cases, and 5,729 tests still pending.
