Gyeongnam Province Reports 36 New COVID-19 Cases... Including Gatherings of Acquaintances, Churches, and Restaurants (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced that as of 1:30 PM on the 20th, 36 new confirmed cases have been reported since 5 PM the previous day.
By region, there are 16 in Jinju, 10 in Gimhae, 4 in Changwon, 3 in Sacheon, 2 in Yangsan, and 1 in Hadong.
Among the confirmed cases, 5 in Jinju and 1 in Hadong are related to a Jinju acquaintance gathering, testing positive and classified as cases 3413, 3415, and 3432 to 3434. This brings the total confirmed cases related to the Jinju acquaintance gathering to 79.
So far, a total of 1,242 people have been tested related to the Jinju acquaintance gathering, with 79 positive and 1,114 negative results. Forty-nine tests are still in progress.
Eleven confirmed cases in Jinju all tested positive and were classified as cases 3435 to 3445, with their infection routes under investigation.
One person tested positive during a hospital admission screening and was classified as case 3435.
Six people who felt symptoms themselves got tested and were classified as cases 3436 to 3441 after testing positive.
Four people who requested testing themselves tested positive and were classified as cases 3442 to 3445.
Among the confirmed cases in Gimhae, six tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 3412, 3418, and 3421 to 3424.
Four people tested positive after visiting Gimhae Buk Church in Gimhae and were classified as cases 3421 to 3424.
Three people tested positive after contact with confirmed cases from other regions and were classified as cases 3416, 3417, and 3420.
One person related to the Gimhae Elderly Daycare Center tested positive after developing symptoms during quarantine and was classified as case 3419. This brings the total confirmed cases related to the Gimhae Elderly Daycare Center to 34.
Among the confirmed cases in Changwon, two people who felt symptoms themselves tested positive and were classified as cases 3414 and 3447. Their infection routes are under investigation.
One person was identified as a student at a middle school in Changwon. A screening clinic has been set up at the school, and about 190 related individuals are being tested.
Two people tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 3425 and 3426.
Among them, case 3425 attends an elementary school in Jinju, and case 3426 attends a daycare center in Jinju. Testing is underway for students and staff.
Among the confirmed cases in Sacheon, one person related to a Sacheon restaurant tested positive and was classified as case 3431. This brings the total confirmed cases related to the Sacheon restaurant to 40.
So far, a total of 2,086 people have been tested related to the Sacheon restaurant, with 40 positive and 1,045 negative results. 1,001 tests are still in progress.
Two people who felt symptoms themselves tested positive and were classified as cases 3429 and 3430. Their infection routes are under investigation.
Among the confirmed cases in Yangsan, one person tested positive during a hospital admission screening and was classified as case 3428.
One person tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and was classified as case 3446.

Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province have increased to 3,444 (361 hospitalized, 3,069 discharged, 14 deceased).
