Afternoon KOSPI Fluctuates Around 3220 Level Amid Net Buying by Foreigners and Institutions

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] As foreign investors and institutions continue net buying in the KOSPI market, the KOSPI is fluctuating around the 3220 level.
At 12:53 PM on the 20th, the KOSPI stood at 3219.33, up 0.65% (20.49 points) compared to the previous trading day. The KOSPI opened at 3198.31, down 0.02% (0.53 points) from the previous day, but soon turned upward. Looking at investor trends, foreigners and institutions bought stocks worth 152.3 billion KRW and 86.4 billion KRW respectively. Individuals sold stocks worth 247.7 billion KRW alone.
Among the top market capitalization stocks in the KOSPI market, Samsung Electronics traded at 83,900 KRW, up 0.72% from the previous day. NAVER (0.13%), LG Chem (0.45%), Samsung Biologics (1.08%), and Kakao (0.42%) also rose.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index stood at 1031.22, up 0.17% (1.76 points) from the previous day. The index opened at 1029.18, down 0.03% (0.28 points) from the previous day and continued to decline, but turned upward as individual net buying increased. Looking at investor trends, individuals bought stocks worth 126.3 billion KRW alone, while foreigners and institutions sold stocks worth 78.2 billion KRW and 24.8 billion KRW respectively.
