This Year’s Employment and Industrial Accident Insurance Total Wage Reporting Rate Hits 75.7%...A New Record

View original image[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service announced on the 20th that the total employment and industrial accident insurance premium reporting rate from the beginning of this year until the 15th of last month reached 75.7%. This is a record high, rising 3.1 percentage points from 72.6% last year. The insurance premium reporting rate for construction and logging businesses, which was operated until the 31st of last month, also increased by 1.4 percentage points to 79.3% compared to the previous year.
The Service actively utilized digital administrative services such as the employment and industrial accident insurance total service and QR reporting system during this year's reporting period. As a result, the electronic reporting rate rose 3.6 percentage points year-on-year to 81.1%. Non-face-to-face reporting reached 99.9%. In particular, the QR reporting system automatically received and processed 495,000 cases (70.6%) out of 700,000 manual fax reports, enhancing customer convenience in reporting.
