S-OIL Launches Fueling and Vehicle Management Service Platform 'YuraeCar (油來Car)'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] S-OIL is accelerating efforts to secure partnerships ahead of the launch of its fueling and vehicle management mobile platform 'Yuraeca' in response to the non-face-to-face and mobility trends.
S-OIL announced on the 20th that it will launch the mobile marketing platform 'Yuraeca' in the first half of next year. 'Yuraeca' is a win-win business model combining S-OIL's fueling customer-based marketing infrastructure and the capabilities of KT Group's Smartro Co., Ltd., a leader in the domestic payment market.
Through the mobile app, 'Yuraeca' enables contactless fuel ordering and payment, and provides total services related to fueling and vehicles, including ▲ tire purchase/installation service reservations ▲ parking space reservations at nationwide parking lots and downtown valet parking reservations ▲ car wash service reservations ▲ designated driver calls. When a customer's vehicle enters an S-OIL gas station, its location is automatically recognized, and pre-entered order and payment information is sent to the fuel dispenser to proceed with fueling. Self-service fueling customers can minimize their time outside by fueling without entering information or card payment on the fuel dispenser screen.
As its first partnership, S-OIL signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation with Kumho Tire on the 19th. The two companies agreed to promote various cooperative projects such as tire purchase and installation services and joint promotions.
An S-OIL official stated, "The partnership with Kumho Tire, the number one tire company in the domestic market, is the first step in building a platform that provides fueling and vehicle-related services, and we will establish a total solution that can meet the rapidly changing customer expectations."
