Shinhan Bank Recruits Center Director Kim Min-su to Lead AI Business Division
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 19th that it has recruited Kim Minsu, head of the AI Advanced Research Lab at Samsung SDS, as the director of the Integrated AI Center (AICC), which oversees its artificial intelligence (AI) business.
Director Kim majored in data mining at KAIST and earned his Ph.D. He has led AI technology research and related businesses as the head of the AI Advanced Research Lab at Samsung SDS.
Director Kim has extensive experience commercializing AI technologies such as deep learning and reinforcement learning across various industries including manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and finance. He is especially an expert with deep understanding and significant experience in areas such as natural language processing-based text analysis development, deep learning-based classification model development, and recommendation model development.
Shinhan Bank stated, "To continuously invest in and develop AI, we decided to recruit a young department head born in 1977 who will lead innovation and technology internalization based on expertise and creativity."
