COVID-19 Spread from Damyang Liaison Office... Total 17 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Two additional COVID-19 cases were confirmed overnight in Gwangju.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 17th, two people were diagnosed positive last night and registered as cases 2270 and 2271.
Case 2270 is related to Songpa-gu case 1894 and was tested after symptoms appeared during self-quarantine.
Songpa-gu case 1894 visited Gwangju from the 2nd to the 4th, attending family and acquaintance gatherings. A total of 15 cases have been confirmed related to Songpa 1894.
Case 2271 is a family member of the previously confirmed case 2266. Case 2266 is believed to have been infected after dining with Jeonnam case 988, an employee at the office of National Assembly member Lee Gaeho in Damyang.
