The company was highly praised for contributing to overcoming the national crisis by providing residential treatment centers and supporting quarantine supplies for vulnerable groups to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In early last year, when the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions suffered severe damage due to a COVID-19 cluster infection, Dongyang Life Insurance and its employees raised about 150 million KRW in donations to improve the treatment of medical staff in the affected areas and delivered the funds to the Community Chest of Korea. They also supported emergency quarantine activities for kindergartens located in Daegu.
Additionally, to help secure hospital beds for COVID-19 patients, the company provided its affiliated training center, 'Dongyang Talent Development Institute,' as a residential treatment center. For small business owners, since March last year, Dongyang Life Insurance has been participating in the government's Good Landlord Movement by reducing rent by 20% to 50% until now.
Moreover, the company carried out support projects to prevent COVID-19 infection, such as deferring insurance premium and insurance contract loan interest payments for families with confirmed COVID-19 cases and delivering quarantine supplies to vulnerable groups in the Seoul area.
