The call is divided into two categories: Original Story Creation and Science Convergence Content Production. Approximately 14 projects will be supported with a total budget of up to 270 million KRW. An online project briefing session will be held on the 26th for institutions that submit preliminary applications.
Support for Original Story Creation covers dramas, film scenarios, comic and novel manuscripts, and scripts for plays and musicals with science as the theme. Stories with potential for expansion into secondary works will be supported for about 4 projects, with funding up to 10 million KRW each.
Support for Science Convergence Content Production includes content production for broadcasting platforms (TV, podcasts, etc.) with science as the theme, short film production and distribution, webtoon and web novel production and serialization, as well as various performances and exhibitions related to science. Approximately 10 projects will be supported with funding up to 30 million KRW each.
Notably, this year the support target has shifted from individual broadcasting platforms to public broadcasting platforms (cable TV, terrestrial broadcasting).
