He said, "While staying at home, I called lawmakers and party members who worked together during the April 7 by-elections to express my gratitude and apologies," and added, "I felt ashamed to make such calls since I failed to meet expectations and support. He continued, "The Democratic Party has produced three proud presidents, and now the party, government, and Blue House are united in overcoming the COVID-19 national crisis," adding, "The by-election defeat is painful and the challenges facing the Democratic Party are heavy, but I believe the party has the capability and determination to heed the will of the people and restore their trust."
