Naver Pay to Enable Postpaid Payments Like Credit Cards
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver Financial announced on the 15th that it will begin a pilot operation of the Naver Pay 'postpaid payment service.'
Naver Pay postpaid payment is a method that provides postpaid payment for the shortfall amount after users have exhausted their Naver Pay points. The Naver Pay postpaid payment service was designated as an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission on February 18.
The postpaid payment will be piloted for some users who are 19 years or older and have been Naver Pay members for more than one year.
Eligible users will see a postpaid payment service application button displayed on the order form when making a Naver Pay payment. After applying, an immediate review is conducted, and a uniform usage limit of 200,000 KRW is granted. The limit may be increased up to 300,000 KRW based on future usage history.
Users with credit card delinquency records or loan histories that do not meet the screening criteria cannot use the service.
