60th Anniversary of Korea-Portugal Diplomatic Relations... "Efforts to Enhance Korea-EU Cooperation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in exchanged letters with President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa on the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Portugal on the 15th.
In the letter, President Moon said, "Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1961, the two countries have developed close cooperative relations in various fields such as politics, economy, and culture," and added, "I hope we will work together not only to strengthen bilateral relations but also to promote Korea-EU cooperation." Portugal is the EU presidency country for the first half of this year.
