Jungjingong Partners with Wemakeprice to Sell Popular SME Products Overseas Directly
Jungjingong-Wemakeprice Agreement Signed for Domestic and International Platform Linkage Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 15th that it signed a business agreement with Wemakeprice (CEO Ha Song) to promote linkage projects between domestic and overseas platforms.
The linkage project between domestic and overseas platforms is an 'Online Export Fast Track' support project introduced and operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and SBC since the second half of last year. Participating companies can immediately register and sell popular products from domestic platforms on e-commerce platforms worldwide.
SBC and Wemakeprice agreed to collaborate on ▲forming a pool of promising products ▲e-commerce education and mentoring for SMEs and startups ▲translation and listing of product pages for entry into global platforms ▲joint planning and operation of global platform promotions.
With this agreement, companies holding promising export products can automatically register and link sales on global platforms such as Qoo10 (Singapore, Japan) and Tmall Global by registering products only once on Wemakeprice. This is expected to reduce the inconvenience of having to enter, translate, and market on each platform separately and expand online exports.
Previously, in August last year, SBC signed a business agreement to promote linkage projects between domestic and overseas platforms with two domestic platforms, Gmarket and 11st, and seven global platforms including eBay and Shopee. From September, they translated and listed product pages for popular and promising domestic products on each global platform, and from October, they conducted joint platform promotions, achieving overseas sales of 5.3 billion KRW as of March this year.

Lee Sung-hee, Head of SBC's Global Growth Division, said, "With the addition of Wemakeprice, one of the leading domestic social commerce platforms, we plan to expand the pool of popular and promising domestic products and promote various promotions throughout the year to strengthen the project." He added, "We will establish this as a successful post-COVID e-commerce collaboration model where SMEs and domestic and overseas platforms can mutually benefit."
