Cheongam University Holds Opening Ceremony for Complex Cultural Space ‘Dream Lounge’
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Cheongam University (President Seo Hyung-won) announced on the 14th that it opened the "Dream Lounge," a multifunctional learning and cultural space planned as a job and startup information search and AI interview room and Book Cafe on the first floor of the Academic Information Center, in accordance with last year's Specialized College Innovation Support Project plan. The opening ceremony was attended by officials from the Cheongam Academy Foundation, alumni, key faculty members, industry representatives, and the student council.
The "Dream Lounge" is officially operated as a special multifunctional learning and cultural space for Cheongam University students, covering an area of 369㎡ with a construction cost of approximately 230 million KRW.
Cheongam University designed the space layout to foster creativity and imagination in a free atmosphere where students can communicate comfortably. The space was designed in a caf? style familiar to students, creating an environment preferred by university students.
Meeting the needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, the Dream Lounge combines a creative and free Book Cafe with a Job Cafe that provides successful employment strategy information, offering more comprehensive services to students. It is expected to become a central facility on the Cheongam University campus favored by students.
A nursing student at Cheongam University expressed joy, saying, "I never dreamed that the educational environment and facilities we have longed for would be available at the school I attend. I believe many fellow students will use it."
President Seo Hyung-won said, "I deeply thank the Cheongam University alumni and staff who raised over 100 million KRW, which became the seed money for opening the 'Dream Lounge' in the Cheongam University campus, where cultural space facilities were lacking. I hope it will develop into a smart space where students can think independently, collaborate, and create in preparation for the changes and innovations of the industrial society era. I also expect it to become a campus landmark where students freely gather to discuss, communicate, learn, meet, and relax."

The facility includes a research and learning support room, conference room, and creative learning support room, providing spaces for learning support, research, discussion, and relaxation. With the recent opening of the 'Dream Lounge' on the first floor, the Academic Information Center now offers a new paradigm of 'multifunctional learning and cultural service space,' consisting of the 'Dream Lounge' on the first floor, library stacks and storage on the second and third floors, and creative learning spaces on the fourth floor, providing an environment and content that meet the demands of the future era.
