(Foundation) Changwon Welfare Foundation Signs Business Agreement with Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea
'Nanum and Happiness Plus Donation Support Project' Implementation
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] The Changwon Welfare Foundation signed an agreement on the 14th with the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea for the 'Sharing, and Happiness Plus Donation Support Project' to provide customized support for households in crisis.
This agreement was prepared to support households in sudden crisis due to family breakdown, children aging out of child protection facilities, COVID-19, etc., through the establishment of a dedicated fundraising account at the Changwon Welfare Foundation.
The 'Sharing, and Happiness Plus Donation Support Project' will provide support up to 5 million KRW per household for crisis households with an income below 100% of the median income, including emergency housing stabilization support, medical expenses for mental health crisis households, qualification acquisition expenses for self-reliance foundation establishment, and startup support for low-income families, based on donations collected by the Changwon Welfare Foundation. The detailed support projects will be provided sequentially once the foundation reaches certain fundraising targets for the four support projects.
Donations can be made by filling out an application form on the foundation's website or at the Eup, Myeon, Dong offices. Donations are eligible for tax credit benefits under the Corporate Tax Act and Income Tax Act.
Kang Ki-cheol, Chairman of the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea, said, "We are pleased to conduct the fundraising project as a joint partner with the Changwon Welfare Foundation, and we ask for interest and support for families in crisis through fundraising and sharing projects. We hope to carry out various projects together starting with this agreement."

Jang Jin-gyu, Chairman of the Changwon Welfare Foundation, said, "The fundraising target for this year through the fundraising agreement with the Community Chest is 400 million KRW. Through the four support projects including emergency housing stabilization for crisis households, it will play a role in supplementing the financial limitations of the case management team."
