Jeju Island to Block the Spread of Infections Among Foreign Workers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Park Chang-won] Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 12th that it will conduct COVID-19 testing for foreign workers in the province to block the spread of infections among foreign workers that have occurred recently in succession.
In Jeju, the anxiety of residents increased as four foreign workers tested positive, with three on the 10th and one on the 11th.
All four were found to be working through employment agencies.
Accordingly, Jeju Province plans to notify 142 employment agencies in the province (108 in Jeju City, 34 in Seogwipo) to conduct diagnostic tests and ensure that all foreign workers receive testing.
Anyone who has come into contact with foreign workers can also get tested, and those wishing to be tested can visit the nearest public health center screening clinic.
