Gwangju City to Recruit 50 Members for 'Citizen Assembly Youth Supporters' from 13th to 20th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 12th that it will recruit ‘Youth Supporters’ to activate participation in the 2021 Gwangju Citizens' Assembly, where citizens propose, empathize with, decide on agendas for the Gwangju community, and practice them together with citizens.
The ‘Youth Supporters’ will engage in promotional activities using various content until the Gwangju Citizens' Assembly concludes on the 21st of next month, including ▲ proposing agendas for the Gwangju community and participating as citizen panels and promotion ▲ supporting the operation and promotion of citizen participation events such as proposing agendas for the Citizens' Assembly ▲ suggesting ideas to promote related events and expand citizen participation.
The recruitment targets are Gwangju citizens aged 19 to 39, or university students and workers located in Gwangju, with 50 people to be selected. Applicants can download the application form from the city’s website notice board, fill it out, and submit it via email.
The recruitment results will be posted on the city’s website notice board at the end of this month and individual notifications will be sent via text message. Successful candidates will begin official activities after orientation including task training.
If young people propose agendas for the Citizens' Assembly and are selected as excellent agendas (10 people), incentives such as a Sangsaeng Card worth up to 2 million KRW will be provided.
Additionally, a fixed activity allowance will be paid, volunteer hours will be recognized during on-site promotions, and various benefits such as certificates of completion will be provided after the activities end.
