Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Opens Applications for Educational Public Service Staff Recruitment Exam in June

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education will begin recruiting new educational public officials in June.
On the 12th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced that the '2021 2nd Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education New Educational Public Officials Recruitment Examination,' scheduled for September 1, will be held two months earlier than usual.
The announcement for the new educational public officials recruitment examination will be detailed in May through the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education website and the Educational Public Officials Online Recruitment System. Applications will open in early June, document and interview screenings will take place in mid-June, and the successful candidates will be announced at the end of June.
Successful candidates will be given two months until September 1 to prepare for employment. They will receive three days of pre-employment training after passing the exam and before starting work. The educational public officials hired this time will be indefinite-term contract employees with retirement guaranteed up to the age of 60.
The recruitment examination schedule announced in advance may be slightly adjusted during the exam operation preparation process. The positions to be selected have not been finalized. Until now, preliminary announcements for recruitment exams were made separately by 11 education support offices, but the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education will now oversee and announce them collectively. Recruitment for the first half of 2022 is planned to be conducted in December.
