Jeonnam Province Puts Full Effort into Establishing 'Strengthened Quarantine Rules' for Entertainment Facilities and Others
Notification Poster: Production and Posting of 20,000 Copies
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province is putting all its efforts into establishing strengthened quarantine rules for entertainment facilities and others.
Jeonnam Province announced on the 9th that it is actively conducting quarantine activities, such as producing and posting 20,000 posters at restaurants, cafes, bathhouses, and entertainment facilities where the strengthened basic quarantine rules must be mandatorily posted.
The strengthened basic quarantine rules, implemented from the 5th, add three new rules?prohibition of food consumption, restriction of entry for symptomatic individuals, and designation of quarantine managers?to the existing four common rules: wearing masks, posting and guiding quarantine rules, managing visitor logs, and periodic ventilation and disinfection.
The province anticipated that facility operators might have difficulties in verifying and posting the quarantine rules themselves, so to reduce the inconvenience for managers and quickly establish the changed quarantine rules, it distributed quarantine rule guidance posters together with hygiene-related associations and organizations.
The main contents of the posters include ▲ posting the allowed number of users ▲ filling out electronic visitor logs ▲ wearing masks and refraining from conversation while eating ▲ maintaining at least 1 meter distance between tables ▲ not entering if exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
Additionally, as COVID-19 cases are spreading mainly in the Suncheon area, the province plans to strengthen quarantine rule inspections.
Violations will be subject to a zero-tolerance policy under the “Infectious Disease Prevention and Management Act,” with administrative measures or fines of up to 3 million won imposed.
