[Asia Economy Reporter Jumi Lee] A driver in his 20s who was driving while heavily intoxicated late at night and crashed into four parked vehicles in succession was apprehended by the police.
The Gimpo Police Station in Gyeonggi announced on the 9th that they are investigating a man in his 20s, identified as A, on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act.
A is suspected of driving under the influence around 9:50 PM on the 8th in Janggi-dong, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi Province, and consecutively crashing into four other parked vehicles.
A was caught by patrolling police officers and is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital due to injuries from the accident. It was confirmed that A's blood alcohol concentration exceeded 0.08%, the legal limit for license cancellation.
