Yangsan City, 2021 Senior Career Job Project Contest
Total Project Cost of 140 Million KRW, Hiring 10 People
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam announced on the 7th that it will promote the 2021 Mid-aged Career-type Job Project, which provides social service jobs needed by the local community to mid-aged retired professionals (aged 50-69).
The Mid-aged Project is a Ministry of Employment and Labor public contest project that has been implemented since 2019.
The city secured a total project budget of 140 million KRW (70 million KRW in national funds) to promote a project providing housekeeping support services for families in crisis environments.
Through a public contest process, 10 retired professionals will be hired to provide customized housekeeping support services for each household to 50 households in welfare blind spots starting from April.

A city official stated, “Through this project, we expect effects beyond simple housekeeping support, such as job creation for mid-aged people and strengthening social care functions including child psychological care for cancer patients, patients with rare and intractable diseases, elderly living alone, disabled persons, single-parent and grandparent-headed families who are in the blind spots of existing social service provision.”
