"Industry-Leading Compensation" Market Kurly Joins Developer Recruitment Efforts

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Market Kurly announced on the 7th that it held a real-time developer recruitment briefing session at the 'Startup Coding Festival Job Fair (SCOPE Job Fair)' on the 6th.
The 'Startup Coding Festival 2021,' held over two days on the 20th and 27th of last month, was the first event of its kind in Korea aimed at discovering talented developers and supporting their growth. Over 7,000 developers participated to showcase their skills. In addition to Market Kurly, six startups including Brandy, Socar, Watcha, Oneul-ui Jip, and Bungaejangter took part.
The SCOPE Job Fair is being held as part of 'SCOPE 2021.' From April 4th to 9th, every day from 8 PM to 10:30 PM, real-time recruitment briefings are conducted by the six participating companies. Market Kurly explained that the event on the 6th was held to encourage the growth of domestic startups and developer communities and to recruit outstanding developers whose skills have been verified.
The recruitment briefing featured CEO Kim Seul-ah, Development General Manager Leader Lim Sang-seok, Commerce Development General Manager Leader Jo Moon-ok, along with four commerce developers and two logistics developers as panelists. Many developers actively participated in real-time Q&A sessions, engaging with vivid stories about Kurly’s growth story, development challenges, and development culture.
The company stated, "Developers who participated in the event asked sharp questions about Kurly’s growth potential, issues, and the work methods of the development team." Kurly developers commonly explained, "Kurly has a development culture where even mistakes are transparently shared to solve problems collaboratively and complementarily, preventing recurrence." They added, "We look forward to many developers growing together with Kurly, which provides open growth opportunities for developers to freely demonstrate their capabilities."

Currently, about 90 developers work at Kurly. This year, the company plans to hire more than 100 developers across all engineering fields, including e-commerce and logistics services. New developers who wish to grow together are also welcome to apply. Currently, about 10% of the developers have less than three years of experience. Kurly stated, "To recruit developers based on ability, we plan to offer industry-leading compensation and welfare benefits."
