[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] The Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) announced on the 7th that it has signed a business agreement with Gyeongbuk Technopark to support the sustainable growth of small manufacturers in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Small manufacturers are manufacturing companies with fewer than 10 employees.
SEMAS and Gyeongbuk Technopark agreed to promote activities to identify and support the demand for smartization of small manufacturers in the Gyeongbuk region. The two organizations will also cooperate to foster and revitalize small manufacturers, supporting them to contribute to the local economy.
Gyeongbuk Technopark has been selected as a base institution for the '2021 Smart Workshop Technology Dissemination Project' promoted by SEMAS. This project introduces basic smart technologies such as equipment automation and artificial intelligence (AI) into the manual-centered manufacturing processes of small manufacturers. It also supports the improvement of productivity and quality of small manufacturers by utilizing data.
