This volunteer activity involves 30 organizations affiliated with the Volunteer Organizations Council and about 400 volunteers who are doing their best to ensure safe and smooth vaccinations by conducting entrance fever checks for seniors visiting the vaccination center, guiding vaccination procedures, and advising on social distancing while waiting.
Bang Man-hyeok, chairman of the city’s Volunteer Organizations Council, said, “I am always grateful to the members who actively volunteer despite these difficult times,” and added, “The council will also do its best to support overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and returning to normal life as soon as possible.”
An elderly person who visited the vaccination center for the vaccine expressed gratitude, saying, “I was very worried before coming because of mobility difficulties, but the volunteers kindly accompanied me from the entrance until I received the vaccination, which made me feel very comfortable.”
