Namwon-si Children and Youth Library Selected for 'Humanities on the Road' Contest
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] The Namwon City Children and Youth Library in Jeonbuk has been selected for the "Humanities on the Road" contest project hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korean Library Association.
The library's "Humanities on the Road" project aims to contribute to meeting the cultural needs of residents, spreading spontaneous humanities activities, and revitalizing the community by providing humanities programs that connect reading, discussion, and exploration using a library-based system, with local libraries as hubs.
Last year, the Namwon City Children and Youth Library operated a humanities program linking lectures and discussions on the themes of Greek and Roman mythology and Korean mythology, receiving great interest from participating citizens.
This year, by lecturing on other stories of mythology that could not be covered in last year's lectures, the program was designed to be continuous rather than a one-time event.
