Kim Jong-in Leaves People Power Party the Day After By-Elections... Seong Il-jong Says "He Will Step Down as a Victor"
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Kim Jong-in, the Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, will step down on the 8th, the day after the April 7 by-elections.
On the 6th, Seong Il-jong, a member of the People Power Party's Emergency Committee, appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' and said, "(Chairman Kim) will probably hold a press conference on the 8th, greet at the party meeting, and leave as a victorious general as originally stated." Seong said that Chairman Kim's resignation on the 8th was "the originally stated plan."
Seong, who has worked with Chairman Kim in the Emergency Committee, assessed the possibility of Kim's return to politics as high.
When asked by the host, "Is there a possibility of a comeback considering the presidential election?" he answered, "Of course." He added, "Chairman Kim has experience participating in national governance and has acquired a lot of knowledge while working as a professor. He possesses remarkable insight derived from this. If there is a way for these various political capabilities and experiences to be used for the country, I think it is a good method to respectfully request him in various forms."
