Naju City "File and Pay Corporate Local Income Tax by the 30th"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that it will operate the corporate local income tax filing and payment period for April targeting corporations with business sites in the jurisdiction.
The filing target is the income attributable to the 2020 fiscal year of corporations with a December year-end closing, and they must file and pay to the local government with jurisdiction over the corporation's head office or business site by the 30th of this month.
If a corporation has two or more business sites located in different local governments, it must file and pay apportioned amounts to each local government respectively. Failure to apportion and filing only with one local government will result in a penalty for non-filing, so caution is required.
Filing methods include accessing Wetax, visiting or mailing to the tax department of the city hall where each business site is located, payment via bank CD/ATM machines, virtual accounts, or ARS services.
Naju City will extend the payment deadline for corporations that have suffered direct or indirect business damage due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
If filing is done within the filing deadline (April 30) and an extension application along with damage proof documents are submitted by mail or fax to the city hall tax department at least three days before the deadline, the payment deadline can be extended.
